Florida Vacation Guide
The southern US state of Florida is one of America’s top travel destinations. From the vibrant capital Miami, with its big-city sophistication and alluring beaches, to Orlando with Walt Disney World and other family attractions, there is something for everyone in Florida. Florida's famed Everglades National Park is best viewed by airboat, but there are plenty of nature trails, where you can get a close look at its unique wetland ecology. In Biscayne National Park, take a glass-bottomed boat ride to see stunning tropical coral reefs. St. Petersburg is home to the Florida International museum, which has the largest holding of Peruvian artifacts in America. Head for Miami's South Beach and drive down Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road, past hundreds of pastel-coloured art deco buildings, and visit America’s oldest city, St Augustine, with its 500 years of fascinating history. Further north, at Cape Canaveral’s Kennedy Space Center, you can learn about the history of space travel. The drive along the chain of coral reef islands south of Miami, from Key Largo to the Florida Keys, is one of the world’s great road trips. Here you can swim with dolphins, fish, dive and birdwatch, and even visit the home of Ernest Hemingway. Do you have a vacation rental in Florida?
